Translation

I commented in my last post that Hailey is talking a lot and its great to see your once baby now talking to you and having somewhat of a real conversation. Here are some of the things she says that honestly leave me speechless sometimes.

  1. Mommy you look pretty, pretty mommy (I have high self esteem because of her).
  2. I know, I know (do I say this a lot...hmmmm).
  3. Mommy coming (she says this to Layla when she cries, and since Hailey is the one that made her cry...she needs to comfort her somehow).
  4. I'm fine mommy, all better (sooo cute)
  5. Sorry mommy ( I actually here this for everything...good and bad-sweet girl)
  6. Daddy go home (this actually means she wants him to COME home, go...come - same thing??)
  7. I want to talk to Daddy (she hands me the phone to dial the number for her).
  8. "Mommy watch..."

I'm sure there is more to come and more to learn, but in the meantime I'm loving it! Kids are like sponges and mine is soaking it all in.

Getting older and closer

I feel like I haven't been on top of my blog, no postings in over a month...gasp! Other than Halloween (which I still have not posted) everything has been the same. In the meantime, Layla is getting older and trying so hard to sit up. She still is not quite there yet but she is determined to do it. She is also finding her voice and likes to shriek or squeal. Its cute because sometimes she sounds like a little pig...

Hailey is talking non-stop! Wow, I am loving it. We speak to her in Spanish but she responds in English. Half of the time I don't know where she learns the English vocabulary... She is loving her sister and seems to be getting closer to her and pretty protective. Since Layla can interact more I think Hailey finally sees her as a human. I have mentioned this before but its really neat to see them form a special bond. Although, don't let that fool you. Hailey still seems to bother her a lot and is constantly wanting to antagonize her...I guess this is sibling love too. Nevertheless, it seems like both my girls are getting older and closer.

7 Things....

My friend Lisa tagged me to do this and I NEVER do these tag things but thought this one was fun. Here are some things you may or may not know about me....

Seven things that attracted me to my hubby:
1. Sense of humor
2. Ambition
3. Good looks - you are H-O-T caliente babe!
4. Honesty and he is super loyal
5. Very giving - with anything and everything.
6. Has amazing hygiene-he always smells good and is clean!
7. He rescues me when I need him...with directions, problems, or just a listening ear.

Seven things I always say:
1. "Babe"
2. "That's yuckies and owies" - I say this to my Hailey so she doesn't touch something.
3. "Can you do me a favor" - I say this to Jason ALL the time....
4. "love ya" - can never say that enough!
5. "Besito" - I especially love saying this to Hailey. In our family we always do 3 kisses in a row.
6. "What the heck" - I know, I know...working on rephrasing this one.
7. "Fluffy NO" - our poor dog! Hailey says it now to him too. He probably just tunes us out.

Seven things I LOVE to EAT:
1. Snickers
2. Pomegranates
3. Bread
4. Meat
5. Monaco's Pizza - Italian sausage and jalapenos
6. CPK barbecue chicken salad and avocado rolls
7. Watermelon
71/2. Avocados..yummmmy with salt and lime!

Seven things I can do:
1. Write - I am good expressing myself through writing
2. Talk - oh yeah, ask my friend Julie who I call at least 5 times a day.
3. Kick box - bring it on.
4. Sleep - I love my bed!
5. Remember things - ask Jase.
6. Stand up for myself and others - I am not afraid to say what I think.
7. Play the violin

Seven things I can't do:
1. Sing - I can't hold a note high or low, I don't have a tune, I am horrible!
2. Do a kart wheel - gasp!
3. Tell a joke
4. Math - I always ask Jason what is 10% of something....
5. Have patience
6. Directions - I get lost ALL the time, doesn't help I don't know north, south, east and west. And don't bother teaching me...I DON'T get it.
7. Keep a plant alive - no green thumb here.

Seven people I tag:
Dani, Anna, Laura, Aundrea S., Cari, Suzette and Staci H - enjoy!
