Picasso in Nursery

I don't know if its pregnancy or just my personality but little things that Hailey does get me excited and emotional. Jason usually is the one that picks her up from Nursery because I am in Young Women's. Today him and Hailey came into my classroom and Hailey was holding the Nursery Snack basket (meaning we bring snacks in two weeks) and inside was Hailey's work of art. I of course was excited to see that she had scribbled two or three things with crayon on the paper and wanted to come home and put it on our refrigerator. I told Jason, "Look honey, her first artwork." And my hubby's response was.."Oh she's had more but I threw them away." That shows you where him and I stand on these things..it doesn't matter to daddy's like it does to mommy's. Or maybe I am a little weird about it than most moms. Blame it on hormones, baby number 2, some freak thing in me but I just can't believe how big she is getting. I am VERY excited too see her grow but it does go by fast, very fast. Enjoy my Picasso's work of art!!!

Picture Perfect with my Friends

Hailey - Jared - Kayla - Keira - Coral

These are Hailey's everyday buddies. I have two girlfriends that I hang out with at least 3 times a week. We do whatever just to get out and let our kids run wild! This past Monday we went to Victoria Gardens (an outside mall just seconds from my house...lucky me!) and we decided to let the kids play in an area where water comes out of the ground. So while the kids played in the water with their cute swimsuits..which they all happened to get in their Easter baskets (we also shopped for those together) us three 'amigas' had a picnic in the grass. We had a lady from Picture People come up to us and ask us if we wanted a free picture. So we decided to take the kids right in, wet and all, and have them take a picture. This was the result...I must say they look dang cute and perfect. They were so good to leave the water and fun and take a picture for us moms. I am so grateful that Hailey has such good friends. She doesn't understand all that yet but I'm sure she enjoys having buddies to play with.

Easter Egg Hunt in Palm Springs

Papa Neil and Ama Niki live in Palm Springs and we went out there to have Easter dinner and a fun Easter egg hunt. It was great to see Hailey pick up eggs and put them in her basket. I think she loved the concept and loved being with her cousins. We found out Hailey loves Reese's Peanut Butter Cups..so when she ran out she started to look in her cousins baskets. Papa and Ama live on a golf course so their backyard is endless grass...Hailey loved running free. I bet she wishes we had at least an acre of land in our backyard. Trust me Hailey; mommy wishes she had an acre or two too!

Happy Easter-Feliz Pascua

What a beautiful day in every sense. From the reason for this holiday to the beautiful weather outside. As some of you know we speak to Hailey in Spanish and I kept calling Easter..."Easter" and Jason kept correcting me and telling me it was called "Pascua." So Feliz Pascua everyone! We thought we had gotten Hailey a simple basket but when she discovered what was inside she did not think it was simple...she was so intrigued by everything that she would NOT look up at the camera!

Spring is in the Air

Today is the first day of spring. The weather has been so beautiful that I open my windows and sliding door the second I wake up. I love listening to the birds and smelling the fresh air. Today is also the first day my sweet girl got her first pedicure. I got out of the shower and thought I would paint my toenails. She saw me and started doing what I was doing...using the nail clipper, the file and trying to open the nailpolish. So I thought I would cut her toe nails...which I don't do too often. Then I filed them a little and finished them with paint. A nice soft pink color that looks so sweet. When I put her sandals on I kept telling her to look at her pretty toes! When Jason got home I told him to tell her to show him her feet and she did...I think that is when he realized she was not a baby anymore. She is really a big girl.

I love Watermelon!

Its been a while since I have posted anything but that is because Hailey has barely gotten better. Her rash really took over her body and it has taken a while for her to recover. If you are looking at the pictures you will probably notice she looks fine. Watermelon does that to her. She loves it! She would either die if it was not on the earth or would turn into one because of how much she eats it. I can usually sit her on the couch with her "bibby" (blanket), a bowl of watermelon and Winnie the Pooh and she will be content. She is so sweet and I am so glad that it is something so simple that makes her happy. We love her as much as she loves that watermelon!
